Ugli Book Love Tumblr

I am a recent University of Michigan graduate and employee at the Undergrad Library here.

I will be posting about the new books that come into the UGLi, reviews of books from our collection by myself, other librarians and any of my followers interested in writing their own reviews. I will also keep you up to date on any cool events happening in all of the libraries on campus.

Though my focus is on U of M libraries, the books reviewed will all be fairly easy to access elsewhere and events are open to anyone in the community. Don’t be afraid to follow if you aren’t a student here, we may bleed blue and maize at U of M, but we read the same books as everyone else.

If you have any questions you don’t think I can answer, then you can chat with librarians via instant message here for help with research and anything else you may need

As I have said I want all people who are interested in reading and libraries to feel free to follow this blog. World Cat is a database that compiles everything available from libraries around the world. After you locate the book you want, the site asks for your zip code to find the closest library that has a copy of said book. It’s really cool and has DVDs and CDs as well, so I suggest everyone test it out.

And finally if you are a U of M student and want to suggest a book for the library to purchase, you can submit it over here
